What sets Type Two Three apart?
Private access to the best terrain in Hokkaido. From classic, mellow Japanese tree skiing to the elusive steeps and cliffs, our guides will get you the ski experience of a lifetime. We limit the number of guests on our 2000+ acres of our private ski terrain to maintain fresh lines all season long.
Eat like a local. We know all the secret spots to build a true Japanese culinary experience. Would you rather stand in line for mediocre pizza with other Niseko tourists, or enjoy a private Hokkaido scallop feast followed by karaoke with the locals? All meals throughout your trip are included.
Safety. All of our guides are Avalanche Safety Level 2 certified and we provide all guests with a beacon, probe, and shovel for all backcountry skiing days. We don’t take any chances with our guests’ safety.
The best guides. Our guides have extensive mountaineering and medical experience ensuring the safest backcountry experience. Guides match guests with terrain suitable to their ability level.
Fully custom trip. Your six days of skiing (Monday-Saturday) are tailored to the desires of your group. Want to earn your turns? Our guides will tour with you until you can’t hike anymore. Resorts too crowded? We’ll add additional CAT days in search of untouched powder on limited access terrain
"We went to places only locals hang out and made friends for life with people we couldn’t even have a conversation with. The sake helped for sure." -Caitlin

FAQs
A Type Two Three, all-inclusive Hokkaido ski tour includes a minimum of three days of private CAT skiing, three days of backcountry touring OR resort skiing, all lodging, every meal, roundtrip transportation from the airport or train station, backcountry safety equipment, and daily expert guides. The day-to-day itinerary flexes based on weather, snow conditions, and group preference — so guests are always skiing the best terrain available that day.
What is included in the guided Week Experience?
1
Type Two Three is the only Niseko-area CAT skiing operation to offer a week-long, all inclusive product. Other multi-day tours in the region exist, but they're built around guided side country and backcountry touring. A T23 week combines at least three days of dedicated private CAT skiing alongside either backcountry touring OR resort days. The touring days begin with a "CAT bump" — a snowcat ride to elevation, followed by a shorter skin or hike from there to the day's objective. The result is more vertical per day, less time on the approach, and fewer crowds.
How does Type Two Three compare to other week-long ski tours in Niseko?

What ski and snowboard rental equipment is available?
3
Powder-specific skis (105mm+ underfoot), split boards, poles, touring boots, and BCA avalanche airbag packs are available to rent for the duration of the trip.
Can I ship my ski equipment to Hokkaido ahead of my trip?
4
Yes, guests can ship ski and snowboard equipment within Japan using domestic services like Yamato Transport, which makes flying through Tokyo before continuing on to Hokkaido significantly easier. We provide the shipping address, timing instructions, and labelling guidance on request once your trip is confirmed. Your gear will be stored securely at our base location until you arrive.
Are transfers from New Chitose Airport (CTS) or Hakodate train station included?
5
Yes, round-trip private transfers between New Chitose Airport (CTS) or Hakodate train station and your lodging are included in the Week Experience. The drive runs approximately 2.5 hours and is timed to your flight schedule, so there's no need to coordinate buses, taxis, rental cars, or shared shuttles at any point during your trip.
Is avalanche safety equipment included for backcountry skiing?
6
Yes, every guest receives a complete avalanche safety kit (transceiver, shovel, and probe) at no additional cost, along with a guided briefing on its use before the first backcountry day. Guides carry additional rescue equipment, satellite communications, and first-aid gear. Guests are welcome to use their personal avalanche kit if they prefer.
